Velocity is a product of AiCoaches dot com LLC (“Velocity,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers velocity.forum, the Velocity Desktop app, and Velocity Skills by AiCoaches — the connector for Claude (the velocity-receipts client) that records Value Impact (V.I.) when you invoke a Velocity skill in your own tools.
1. Who we are
AiCoaches dot com LLC operates the Velocity platform. You can reach us at support@aicoaches.com or by mail at 111 NE 1st St, 8th Floor, Miami, FL 33132, United States.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. Account details (such as your name and email), your organization and role, any value or hourly-rate inputs you enter, and the work you choose to bring into an AI-Facilitated CoWork session.
Skill telemetry (“receipts”). When you run a Velocity skill in Claude Code, the Velocity Skills connector records a receipt so your Value Impact can be measured. A receipt contains:
- The Velocity skill and activity code that ran, and when.
- How long the invocation took (duration), and whether it completed.
- A computed Value Impact amount, derived from the activity's configured rate.
Connection information. Separately from receipts, while the connector is running it reports your machine’s hostname, operating system, the connector’s own version, and your Claude Code version to velocity.forum when you connect and about once a minute, so your unlocked skills stay in sync and you can see which machines are linked to your account.
The connector does not capture the contents of the files, messages, or work product you operate on. It records only metadata about the fact that a skill ran, plus any context the assistant includes when recording the run. It does not access your microphone, capture your screen, or read your Claude conversations, memory, or chat history. It does not scan, monitor, or upload your files on its own. The one exception is the import feature described below: only when you explicitly ask, it reads and uploads the single skill file you point it at. Telemetry can be paused or revoked at any time (see “Your choices” below).
Local skill files the connector manages. To keep the Velocity skills you have unlocked available inside Claude, the connector writes and updates each skill’s instructions as a SKILL.md file in its own folder under ~/.claude/skills/. It keeps a record of the skill folders it manages and removes one only when that skill leaves your catalog. If you have created a folder there whose name matches a skill Velocity serves you, the connector treats it as managed: it overwrites that folder’s SKILL.md and will remove the whole folder if that skill later leaves your catalog. Folders whose names do not match a skill served to you are left untouched.
Slash commands the connector manages. The connector also writes Velocity’s Claude Code slash commands (for example /velocity-practice) as files under ~/.claude/commands/. The content of these command files is authored by velocity.forum. The connector writes them one file at a time, keeps a record of the command files it created, never overwrites a command file it did not create, and removes only the command files it is tracking once Velocity stops serving them.
Importing a skill you already have. If you explicitly ask to import an existing skill, the connector reads that one skill’s definition and uploads it to your own Velocity account, along with the folder name and location you pointed it at (a file path can include your computer’s username), so it becomes your skill. You identify the skill in one of three ways: a Velocity skill folder name, a path to a skill file or a folder containing one, or markdown you paste in directly. When you point it at a folder, it also lists the names of the other files in that folder so Velocity can note which supporting files were not included; it does not read the contents of those other files. The import itself does not delete or change the source. Afterward your new skill is synced into ~/.claude/skills/ as described above, so if you imported from a folder there whose name matches your new skill, that folder becomes managed by the sync: its SKILL.md is rewritten with Velocity’s copy of the skill, and the folder is removed if you later delete the skill.
Interactive panels. Some tools display a panel inside Claude, such as your Skill Board or a Velocity widget, which render as HTML in Claude’s sandboxed artifact frame. Their content comes from velocity.forum: for a widget, the connector asks velocity.forum for the display HTML on demand (optionally sending along context the assistant supplies to personalize it); for your Skill Board, the connector builds the panel from your Value Impact data. In each case this is display content shown in Claude’s sandbox, not code that the connector runs on your machine. A separate file picker can show the names of files in a folder you choose so you can select which ones a skill should use; those names are shown to you locally and are not sent to Velocity.
Usage and log data. Like most online services, we collect technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, and event logs to keep the service secure and working.
Velocity Desktop — QA & training program (opt-in). The Velocity Desktop app includes an optional program in which authorized reviewers help us improve Anita. When a reviewer turns it on, the desktop app records that reviewer’s own spoken notes and screenshots of their own Velocity session and sends them to us to review and improve the AI. This is separate from the Velocity Skills connector described above — the connector never records audio or your screen — and it stays off unless a reviewer explicitly enables it on their own machine.
3. How we use information
- To provide Velocity and compute your Value Impact across CoWork sessions and Claude Code invocations.
- To show you and (where applicable) your organization dashboards and reporting.
- To improve our activities, skills, and the accuracy of Value Impact measurement.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, provide support, and meet legal obligations.
4. Your choices and controls
- Pause telemetry at any time from the connector (the
pause_telemetrycontrol). No receipts are recorded while paused. - Revoke a connected machine and its access token from Velocity → MCP Connections. This disables the token immediately.
- Uninstall the connector from Claude to stop all telemetry from that machine.
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing support@aicoaches.com.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers — such as cloud infrastructure and AI model providers — who process data on our behalf under contract.
- Within your organization — if you use Velocity through an organization, its administrators may see Value Impact associated with your account and aggregated team reporting.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for any period required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. You can request deletion at any time; we will honor it subject to those obligations.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. The access token the connector uses is scoped to the permissions you approve. It is stored only on your own machine, in a configuration file inside your Claude configuration folder (not in your project files). The token is kept in plain text rather than encrypted, and it is not stored in your operating system’s keychain. On macOS and Linux the connector restricts that file with owner-only permissions (mode 0600); on Windows it relies on the standard protections of your user profile. Uninstalling the connector from Claude does not delete this file; to remove the stored token, delete the ~/.claude/plugins/velocity-receipts/ folder. You can also revoke the token from Velocity at any time, which disables it on our servers immediately, whether or not the local file still exists.
8. International users
We are based in the United States and process and store information there. If you access Velocity from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.
9. Children
Velocity is intended for use by businesses and professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
